“Wow, always wanted to stay in a castle, and I wasn’t disappointed. From start to finish the staff where polite, helpful and made some great suggestions of places to visit.
The bedroom was clean and well equipped, the shower was great and the bed was super comfy.
The food was delicious and wish I had longer there to try more dishes.
The grounds of the castle where delightful with some amazing views and plenty of space to wonder around.”

Medieval Evening. It’s back...due to public demand! Join us for another unique and fun filled medieval evening at Ruthin Castle on Saturday 14th March 2026 from 6.30pm. Kick off the evening with an arrival glass of traditional mead, before digging into a hearty four course set menu. A feast fit for a king and queen! Dietary requirements will be catered for upon request. Please note, seating will be banquet style. The event will take place in our Tafarn Medieval Hall, whilst live musical entertainment will once again be provided as you feast by Medieval troubadors, @thewhipperginnies . Why not embrace the evening in full by arriving in medieval costume and enter our best dressed competition! Costumes can be hired by the amazing Costume Company.
