provides a truly outstanding wedding setting and a choice of wonderful rooms
to suit the occasion - from the massive, sparkling crystal chandelier and
glittering mirrors of the Grand Salon, to a themed costume wedding
in the Mediaeval Banquet Hall. It is one of the most secluded wedding
venues in North Wales and can be booked for exclusive use. Picture-perfect
photographic opportunities abound both inside the castle and in the extensive
landscaped grounds. Civil Wedding Ceremonies can be conducted on the
premises.
The first themed mediaeval banquets in Britain started at Ruthin Castle 40 years ago and the long tradition continues. Fully costumed Ladies of the Court and Court Steward entertain, sing, jest and lead the evening's feasting with dagger and fingers... accompanied by mead from clay cups and wine in pewter goblets. Guests can also wear costume if they choose and the setting has found favour for many themed mediaeval wedding banquets and conference groups.
